Animal Health survey and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) innovation

19 November 2025

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) has recently been recognized in the Political Declaration on 26 September 2024 at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) to be one of the top global public health threats facing humanity, highlighting the need to adopt a One Health approach to curb AMR through a coordinated response across sectors.

If you are still unfamiliar with AMR and the One Health approach, you can visit our AMR video series here!

Together with the kind support of Diagnostics for Animals, Animal Health Europe and Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products, RADAR-PPI is launching a survey on AMR innovation needs in the animal health sector.

The survey aims to:

  • Develop an updated inventory of potential AMR solutions already available or under development in the European market,
  • Identify technical unmet needs and demand related to AMR,
  • Understand the enablers and barriers affecting innovation uptake in AMR and animal health.

This survey is divided in three parts:

The survey results, once anonymized, will be the subject of a public webinar, where the results will be discussed with relevant stakeholders in Europe. The key findings will then be published in a policy brief targeted at policy makers, scientific community and industry. This will include recommendations regarding investment and means to mobilize innovation in this field, for example through innovation procurement.

Survey deadline: 31 December 2025 at 23:59h CET.

Thank you for your participation!

On behalf of the whole RADAR-PPI team.
