Agnès Riche

Dr. Agnès Riche is the Head of Medicine Pole and the Head of Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine of the Hospital Center of Angoulême, France.

She is also the Head of Antimicrobial Stewardship team, Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine Physician of this hospital.

Dr. Riche is also a member of French Society of Infectious Diseases (SPILF) and the Medical Executive Comitee.

Alex Smithson

Dr. Alex Smithson is an infectious diseases clinician at the Hospital de l’Esperit Sant.

He is member of the technical committee of the VINCat program and an associate professor at the University of Barcelona. He is also a teacher in the Master’s Degree in Zoonoses and One Health at the Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona.

His main topics of interest are related to healthcare-associated infections and antimicrobial stewardship programs particularly with all aspects regarding to urinary tract infections.

Francesco Tessarolo

Francesco Tessarolo is a researcher at the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Trento, Italy and an affiliated researcher at the division for Healthcare Innovation and Research of the Bruno Kessler Foundation in Trento.

His main research interests include health technology assessment, safety and efficacy of medical devices and clinical protocols, disinfection and sterilisation processes and technologies, Information and communication technologies for the healthcare and wellbeing of patients and citizens.

M. Ángeles Domínguez-Luzón

Dr. M. Ángeles Domínguez-Luzón is the Head of the Department of Microbiology at Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge, Barcelona, Spain.

She is an associate professor at the University of Barcelona and head of the Epidemiology of bacterial infections research group at IDIBELL. Her main scientific interests are antibiotic resistance and the molecular diagnosis of infections.

Rafael Cantón

Dr. Rafael Cantón is the Head of the Clinical Microbiology Department at the Ramón y Cajal University Hospital and associate professor at the Complutense University in Madrid.

His research is focused on antimicrobial resistance, new methods on antimicrobial susceptibility testing and chronic respiratory infections performed at Instituto Ramón y Cajal de Investigación Sanitaria (IRYCIS) and CIBERINFEC.

He is clinical data coordinator of the European Committee of Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (EUCAST) and belongs to the advisory committee of the Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance (JPIAMR).

Nichola Naylor 

Dr Nichola Naylor is a Principal Economist at the UK Health Security Agency and an Honorary Research Fellow within the Global Health Economic Centre at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She has worked on quantifying the health and economic burden of antimicrobial resistance and healthcare-acquired infections for the past decade, including from a One Health perspective.

 

Ester Fusté 

Dr. Ester Fusté is an Associate Professor at the Department of Public Health, Mental Health, and Maternal and Child Health Nursing at the University of Barcelona University of Barcelona. She is a researcher at the Laboratory of Molecular Microbiology & Antimicrobials and IDIBELL.
She is member of the Consolidated Research Group: 2017SGR1488, Ecogenetics and Microbial Diversity (ECODIMI). Her research focuses on the study of the mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance, mainly in Gram-negative bacteria and strategies to overcome it, as well as the search for new antimicrobial peptides as a therapeutic alternative and the study of their mechanisms of action.
She is the Treasurer of the Biology of Pathogenic Microorganisms Specialized Group of the Sociedad Española de Microbiologia (SEM).

Rebecca E. Glover

Rebecca E Glover is an Assistant Professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and part of the management committee of the Policy Innovation and Evaluation Research Unit. 

She co-leads the evaluation of the implementation of the UK’s AMR National Action Plan with Professor Nick Mays.  Her research interests lie in applied health policy, focusing on drug, diagnostic, and macroeconomic policies in AMR, COVID-19, Ebola, and other infectious disease domains.
