Connecting Europe’s AMR community: RaDAR at the JAMRAI Tuesday connect

11 March 2026

On the 24th of February, RaDAR took part in the “Tuesday connect” event, organized by the European Joint Action on Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare-Associated Infections (EU-JAMRAI). EU-JAMRAI is a collaborative initiative funded by the European Union which involves 120 partners in 30 countries supported by approximately 40 stakeholders, among health authorities, research institutions, and international organizations in combating antimicrobial resistance and healthcare-associated infections. “Tuesday connect” is a monthly meeting organized by EU-JAMRAI aimed at bringing together experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to discuss key topics related to antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and provide updates on EU-JAMRAI’s ongoing work.

This month’s meeting focused on RaDAR, featuring the speeches of Marco Iacuitto, RaDAR’s project coordinator, and Maria Pons-Vizcarra, from AQuAS, who presented RaDAR’s activities.

During the session, the role of PPI for the rapid detection and control of anti-microbiotic resistance as well as the need for transborder cooperation, hospital IT system interoperability, and evidence-based evaluation to increase the scaling of innovative solutions were also emphasized, turning pilots into sustainable healthcare practices in Europe. Speakers also highlighted the need for rapid detection technologies, data integration, and infection control strategies to improve patient safety and contain the spread of resistant pathogens.

The event offered high visibility to RaDAR and its initiatives, exposing it to healthcare experts, public buyers, researchers, and industry representatives, and we are proud and grateful for the occasion that was offered to us.
