Meet the Companies Awarded by ICO!

The Catalan Institute of Oncology has awarded the contract for the supply of materials to carry out the European RaDAR project, focused on the rapid detection of antibiotic resistance.

The awarded companies are:

For Lot 1: Rapid detection of bacteremia or sepsis – Durviz S.L. a Spanish manufacturer and leader in the LifeScience sector. For over 40 years, it has been providing innovative solutions with extensive experience in Microbiology and Molecular Biology, supporting laboratories, research centres and diagnostic facilities around the world. 

For Lot 2: Rapid detection in screening for colonization or infection by antimicrobial-resistant microorganisms – Cepheid Iberia, chosen to to implement GeneXpert® fast PCR technology in support of the hospital’s infection prevention strategy, with the aim to:
– Reduce nosocomial transmission of CPE, MRSA, and VanA/B
– Enhance patient safety, particularly among oncohematologic high-risk patients
– Strengthen the effectiveness of the antimicrobial stewardship program

For Lot 3: IT solution for the management and handling of antimicrobial resistance – Informática Médica, a business group with more than 30 years of innovation in health technology, specializing in IT solutions for hospitals and clinical care.
